How To Properly Display Legos?

My husband and I, being the geeks we are, enjoy putting together Star Wars Legos. The only thing is that we’re not sure how to properly display them without being messed up by children, etc. We do not have children ourselves, but have people over and are starting to host for events. We have some very large and some small legos. If you have any suggestions and/or resources to display legos, please let me know, as we have plenty of space to work with (are planning on finishing basement, so want to incorporate it into my husband’s future office). Thanks!
